Can Michael Jackson Truly Make a Comeback with his New Album?
Okay, so I have always been a fan of Michael Jackson. From "He's a genius. Just to be in the same room [with him], I felt everything I wanted to accomplish in life has been achieved. That aura ... that's how incredible that aura is. We [are] about to shake the world up, man. You know how you be with somebody and you can't even explain [the feeling]? I used to sit and think, 'How does somebody sell so many records and dominate a whole business genre, to a point [where] nobody can't be a part of that without associating with you?' The way he thinks ... some artists think regional, some think national, I was thinking international. He thinks planets. It's on another level."
Rumor has it that Will.i.am is trying to influence Jackson to take advantage of the "digital age" by releasing the album online instead of traditionally through an in-store CD.
In an interview with Ebony Magazine in November 2007, sources noted that he appeared to be a good father and what they view as "normal" for the first time. Early this year, he re-released a 25th anniversary edition of his album Thriller, which consisted of remixed songs from Kanye West and Will.i.am with added bonus tracks. I walked into a store about a month ago and heard a song from the album playing. That joint was rockin'! Shame on me for not picking up the album yet since I love music so much, but believe me I am going to pick it up soon. Reportedly, Thriller 25, has sold over 1.5 million copies worlwdwide in just eight weeks, which is definitely huge nowadays in the age of digital downloading.
I believe that this new album will put him back on the map. It is rumored to be his last album so I am sure he will go out with a bang. I don't care what anybody says; Michael Jackson is a legend and musical genius. You may call him "Wacko-Jacko" or whatever you want to call him, but to me he is the undisputed K-I-N-G, which spells King! Look for this album to drop sometime this year. In my opinion, this will be one of the most anticipated albums of the year! As I sign out of here, check out these videos to celebrate Michael's legendary run in the industry. Both of them are just two of my favorite songs from the singer. However, trust me when I say that I have some more favorites! Enjoy and let us know what you think of my comments.
"Billie Jean"
"Remember The Time"
