This joint is growing on me more and more. I'm getting some hope about this Ciara album. When I heard "High Price" and "Go Girl," I figured that her upcoming album Fantasy Ride wasn't going to be good. This single definitely has promise. The track was produced by hit-making producer Polow Da Don and features Young Jeezy. It's good to see Ciara getting back on track..
Okay, here's a new one from Ciara titled "Never Ever" ft. Young Jeezy. Now, you may ask how do I feel about this one? Well, the jury is still out on how I feel. However, I can definitely say that it's better than "Go Girl." I think most people were probably expecting Ciara to make us dance again, but she switched things up a little with this one. I like the song better when Jeezy's verse kicks in, but this is indeed an improvement! I was caught off guard when I heard the hook at first. I was like, "Ahhh lawd. She's trying to remake a classic with Simply Redd's song, "If You Don't Know Me By Now." LOL!!! But I can't tell you right now if I love this or hate this. All I can say that this is an improvement...It is growing on me the more that I hear it. What do you think? Does Super C have a chance with this joint? Look out for her album Fantasy Ride during Spring 2009!
Here is a new track from Kanye West, which will be on his upcoming album 808's and Heartbreak. The track features rapper Young Jeezy. A few days ago, Kanye made these following comments in reference to working with the rapper:
"We've been doing pretty good with the singles I'm dropping. We'll put this one out today, and hopefully get more sales because of it. It's got Jeezy on it. Jeezy came down to Hawaii with us. Every time I write a chorus or write any type of hook, I be like, 'Man what would Jeezy do.' Niggas have big bumper stickers with 'What would Jesus do?" but my shit is 'What would Jeezy do? What would he say on this record?' I make my shit straight white t-shirt ready at all given times. So, he came down and helped out. But he actually helped with other records. So it's records that's straight singing records that have Jeezy lines on it. And you'll feel that energy throughout the entire joint."
I am not too sure if I like this track better than "Love Lockdown," but it's a nice track, nonetheless. Jeezy is definitely a plus on this one.
We all have heard that The Blueprint 3 is going to drop at the end of the year. Well, it has now been confirmed by BET.com that Jay-Z will drop the album on December 2. This will be his last album under his Def Jam contract. Do you think that Jay-Z will quit rapping or do you think he will work out a new deal?
Also, in other Jay Hov news, the rapper is working on his own version of "Swagger Like Us." The original version featured Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and T.I. Jay-Z's version is going to feature Young Jeezy, Nas, and Andre 3000. Now I can already tell you that Jay-Z's version is going to be dope! I am glad he added he added these guys to the song. I was actually wondering where Jeezy was on Kanye's version.
By this time, I am sure that most of you have heard Jeezy's and Weezy's albums. Haha!! Now, I have to ask. Which album do you think is the best? We all know that Lil Wayne sold a major amount of records for this day in age with Tha Carter III. Jeezy's album came out a few weeks ago and I am loving it. I really think Wayne's album is waaaay overrated. I liked the beginning of the album, but then it just went on a downhill spiral from that point. It could have been a lot better in my opinion. Then we have Jeezy's album. I swear I like almost every song on the album. To me it is better than Weezy's album. So now I have to get everyone's opinion on this and let you all decide. Who has the best album? Weezy or Jeezy? Take the poll below and let us know!!
Check out this interview from Jeezy with CNN. His new album The Recession was recently released about a few weeks ago and it is hot!!! I think his new CD kills Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III. I like almost every song on the album. That is the hottest hip-hop album that I have heard so far this year...
Jeezy snatched the coveted #1 spot this week with his new album The Recession. His first week sales raked up about $260,000, according to MTV News. Jeezy was pitted against other artists such as, New Kids On the Block, Donnie Klang, Slim Thug, Terrance Howard, and Weebie and clobbered everyone. New Kids On the Block came second in at $95,000 in sales so Jeezy pretty much didn't have any competition. The Recession is Young Jeezy's biggest debut. His first album sales were in the $170,000 range. He actually even sold a little bit more records than The Game did with his first week sales. I remember when both of them were supposed to come out on the same day, but the dates changed for them both. Anyway, I am really enjoying Jeezy's new album. I know this is a little off topic, but when I was looking at the charts, I noticed that Lil Wayne is still selling records. This week, he held the #10 spot at $47,00 records. Tha Carter 3 was released a while ago and it is still making money....
Jeezy's new album The Recession is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard Albums Chart next week with 250,000 units sold. I am really enjoying his new album more and more as I listen to it. It is definitely one of the best hip-hop released this year. He performed "Put On" on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night with a live band.
Jeezy needs a vacation; at least that is what his new video "Vacation" implies. The track is the second single from his upcoming album The Recession. The video's concept has been done before and all, but I like the song. I am looking to his upcoming album. How do you all feel about this song?
In this video, Jeezy says that he has street cred and good music wrapped in one, Do you guys agree? His upcoming album The Recession will be released on September 2. His current single is "Vacation." I think his album is going to sell well.
Young Jeezy's album The Recession will now be released on September 2. I think the album will do well on the charts. I was hoping to see that Nelly and Jeezy album showdown, but I guess we can pay attention to the sales when both of them drop their albums. So far the feedback for his upcoming album is good, according to MTV.com. The other day, he had a listening for the album in New York City. The release is described as a mixture of serious topics with party tracks to get people dancing in the club. Some even say that he has improved lyrically. I definitely can't wait to hear the album and if you want reviews of each track, then you can read them here The Recession album preview. Who's looking forward to the album? I know I am!
How many songs is Mariah Carey going to debut from her current album? I swear she has probably debuted or performed at least 4 or 5 tracks from E=MC2. By the time the year is over, we will probably have heard the whole album, one way or another, through at least a performance or video! Haha! She performed "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Why is she performing this song when she just released "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" as her video? If you ask me, after "Touch My Body," I would have released "Migrate" featuring T-Pain, and then this track "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy. That would have saved her a lot of trouble from releasing all of these songs! You can't got wrong with having T-Pain or Jeezy on a track. "Side Effects is a better choice for a single, instead of "I'll Be Lovin U Long Time." Mimi is definitely still doing her thang though. She has some top nominations at the VMA's this year.
Don't expext for release dates to be final nowadays. Everyone is pushing back their albums. I can go on and on about who has pushed their albums back this year, but I am not. I will say that recently Nelly pushed his album back and now Young Jeezy has too. I was looking forward to those album showdowns between Nelly and Young Jeezy or Jeezy and The Game. It looks like none of these albums will be released on the same day. Young Jeezy's album The Recession is going to drop on September 2. I really think that album is going to rake in some good sales, as the result of the polls that I posted a few weeks ago. Jeezy has a lot of fans out there. Nelly's Brass Knuckles is going to be released on September 16th. At the end of the day, I think that Young Jeezy is going to take it home and sell more records than Nelly. I guess we will have to see though.
Well, it seems that Nelly has cold feet now. Haha! His upcoming album Brass Knuckles has now been been pushed back to September 16th. I think Jeezy would have won the face off between the two. Now, that means that The Game, Jeezy, and LL Cool J will release on album on August 26th. Who do you think will win? This face/off will probably come down to either The Game or Jeezy in my opinion. I am gonna have to go with The Game on this one as far as selling the most records. This one is a tough one, however, so you never know. If anything, one of the albums will probably be pushed back, which seems to be the norm these days. The Game has already pushed his album L.A.X back several times and it would not surprise me if he does it again. Vote below and let me know who you think will come out on top!
Apparently Ice Cube thinks so! Young Jeezy is about to star in Cubes first screenplay since 2002’s Friday After Next The movie is called Janky Promoters. Jeezy plays the “big name hip-hop act” who hooks up with a pair shady concert promoters, played by Cube and Epps, try to book him for a show. Hilarity follows as the janky promoters face the neighborhood nemesis, Mondo who has Cube’s son — played by young comedian Little JJ — under contract. Will you be at the show when this drop or will you hit up your nearest bootleg man?
