Check out the colorful new video from T-Tain ft. Chris Brown titled "Freeze." The song is featured on T-Pain album Thr33 Ringz. As of yet, the album has sold about 279,000 copies. Maybe it's just me, but I am actually surprised the album hasn't sold more. I mean, his last album Epiphany sold over 1, 200,000 copies and he's featured on any and everybody's songs nowadays. However, it was only released a few months ago so maybe it will get close to being Gold or go a little bit over that mark. Do you think the public is getting a little tired of T-Pain?
Wow. T-Pain has just signed Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes to his Nappy Boy Label. According to Billboard.com, T-Pain recently inked a deal which would allow him to sign artists. This news was recently announced at Lil Wayne's "I Am Music Tour."
"Nappy Boy is T-Pain's brand and umbrella label," stated T-Pain's business partner Michael Blumstein. "The label will be a full-fledged indie label with PR, promo and everything else a physical label has."
This might be a good move for T-Pain. Gym Class Heroes are pretty dope and if you've heard of them, then their music is a cross between Alternative and Hip-Hop. Adding Trav to his roster will definitely gain him some attention and dinero (money). LOL!!! Maybe this means that T-Pain and Katy Perry will collab in the future? LOL!! I mean, who knows? LOL!! What do you think about this?
I am sure that many of you are familiar with Auto-Tune and T-Pain has received a lot of credit for bringing it back. Would you consider him to be the master at using Auto-Tune? Many people feel that he is. In a recent interview with Rhapsody.com, T-Pain discusssed his use of Auto-Tune. Also, Kanye and and Lil Wayne, pretty much gave their blessings to T-Pain as being the King of using it. T-Pain recently stated:
"I brought it back. I didn't start it. I didn't invent the damn thing. People think that I feel that way when I say that I should get respect or recognition for bringing it back. Lil Wayne will tell you right now that the only reason he is doing it is because of me. He saw that people accepted it."
Reportedly, Kanye recruited T-Pain for his upcoming album 808's and Heartbreak. In reference to working with Kanye, T-Pain stated:
"Kanye called and said, 'I got to borrow your style for a second.'," T-Pain explained. "He's kept it a little longer than he said he would he was going to, but at least he gives me the props."
Now considering that many artists are jumping on the Auto-Tune bandwagon, such as Lil Wayne and Kanye West, who sounds the best using it? I definitely would like to know your opinions on this matter.
Ciara turned up the heat in her new video "Go Girl," which features T-Pain. I think she is going the Janet Jackson route. This song is just alright to me. It doesn;t really stand out. It's a cool video though. What do you think? Do you like it?

T-Pain is ready to drop his second single "Chopped and Screwed" ft. Ludacris. His upcoming album will be releasded on November 11th. This song talks about being chopped and screwed and the song itself has been chopped and screwed. The track sounds pretty good. Do you like it?

With eight songs on BMI's most-performed list, songwriter/artist T-Pain was honored earlier this evening (Sept. 4) as the performing rights organization's songwriter of the year. T-Pain also shared producer of the year kudos with fellow producers Jonathan "J.R." Rotem and Kanye West. Rounding out the list of BMI's top urban producers were DJ Montay, Mr. ColliPark, Polow Da Don, Rodney Jerkins, Soulja Boy Tell'em and will.i.am. Among the eight BMI songs that featured T-Pain's songwriting contributions are "Bartender," "Low," "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')," "Kiss Kiss" and "Good Life." Not many people thought he would last, but few did. I am one of those few! This new single "Can't Believe It" kind of fooled me, but hey....i can't be right all the time.
50 Cent always has to add his stank to somebody else's song! Check out his freestyle to T-Pain's hit "Can't Believe It." This song is just extremely annoying and it is off as h*ll. 50 Cent and autotune are a bad combo. I remember when 50 Cent used to be hot. Now, look at what he has become. Haha..
I remember singing that Kirk Franklin song "Silver and Gold" in church. It was the jam and still is a powerful song. Well, T-Pain must've remembered it too because he took the subject of Jesus and flipped it into that popular drank Patrón! Apparently, he recorded the song a while ago and it leaked on the internet unexpectedly without T-Pain's consent or knowledge. T-Pain did not intend for the song to leak, but we all know how that goes nowdays. Songs leak like crazy. T-Pain told MTV News that he was just playing around in the studio, when he recorded the song and it is not going to appear on his upcoming album. In the song, he stated, "I done mixed up silver and gold/ I done mixed up silver and gold/ I’mma tryin’ to get drunk before this party/ Somebody’s gonna have to carry me home/ I done drank the silver and gold." Basically, Kirk Franklin's lyrics said, "I'd rather have Jesus, than Silver and Gold...."
Things are cool between the Autotune King and Kirk Franklin. The two had a talk about the situation and T-Pain told Kirk Franklin that the song got leaked and it was not serious. Kirk Franklin told him that things were cool and he understands what happens when songs leak. Anyway, that is good they cleared things up. Shame on you T-Pain though. Haha! Ya'll know he was probably in the studio faded listening to some gospel and isn't that supposed to uh....get you into the spirit or something? But no...it drove T-Pain into a drunken tyrade about some Patrón. Haha! T-Pain, you know you ain't right!! Haha!
T-Pain went to 106 & Park yesterday looking like a straight up clown. He actually looked like Macho Man Randy Savage if you really think about it! Haha! Ya'll remember that wrestler from back in the day? Haha! Anyway, his get up was actually a tribute to George Clinton, who is pretty much known for wearing weird, wacky, and colorful clothing. He even sang "Buy U A Drank" without autotune! I was about to prepare myself for the worst when I saw he was about to sing without his most treasured companion, but he didn't do that bad. He actually sounded pretty decent without autotune. What do you guys think? I know one thing though. I am loving his new track "Can't Believe It" Featuring Lil Wayne.
At first, I wasn't diggin' this song much. I thought there was nothing special about it. Lately, this song has really been growing on me. It's really hot!! Haha! I have the song as my ringtone on my phone right now. I like the video and it is creative. Do you like the video and song?
Am I the only one that thinks this album cover is ugly? This is T-Pain's new cover for his upcoming album that will drop on Sept. 30th. I am not feeling this circus vibe he has going on. It's corny! He could have came up with something more creative. I hope the album is better than this cover.

T-Pain plans to release his upcoming studio album Thr33 Ringz, which is set to drop on September 30th. The first single from the album will be "Snap Yo Fingers" featuring Lil' Wayne. The single will hit radios outlets in June. The song is reportedly still in the production phase along with the video. T-Pain definitely seems to be doing his thing. He was recently received five nominations at the 2008 BET Awards. Do you think his new album will do well?
