Video Premiere-"Pretty Please" by Estelle

I really like Estelle's music. She is definitely slept on. Her album Shine really has some bangers on it and her music has a R&B, Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Soul feel to it. "Pretty Please" is a nice track with a classic R&B feel to it. Cee-lo is singing background vocals on the track. See if you can spot crazy Aubrey from Danity Kane in the video and Taraji Henson, who co-starred in one of my favorite films Hustle and Flow. In the video, Estelle is dealing with her cheating man. Heineken Red Star Soul Tour

Heineken Red Star Soul tour will be hosting some of the hottest R&B acts in the game. Kenny Burns & BET’s Danella, will host the 9 city stop. The concerts are invite-only events and tickets will be given away by select radio stations. Scheduled artist include: Grammy award producer/songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox, Ashanti, Goapele, Keyshia Cole, Chrisette Michele, Dwele, Raheem DeVaughn, Estelle, Bilal, Lyfe Jennings, and Musiq Soulchild. Check your local area to see which artist is gonna perform that night. Not all artist will be at every show.

Alicia Keys' As I Am Tour Wrap Celebration

Yesterday, Alicia Keys hosted the As I Am Tour Wrap Celebration in New York City. Her mother attended the event. Celebrities in attendance were John Legend, Estelle, Flo Rida, Jazz of Black Buddafly, and Ne-Yo.

Video Premiere-Estelle "No Substitute Love"

Check out the third single "No Substitute Love" from Estelle's album Shine, which was released on April 29th. The video features cameos from Kelly Rowland and Project Runway's Christian Soriano. See if you can spot them in the video. I love this song! Estelle's album has some banging beats on it, but I must admit that it was a bit of a disappointment. The beats are the best thing about it. Anyway, "No Substitute Love" is one of my favorite tracks from the album. I don't know about her being in that pink dress. It looks like she was about to fall out of it...haha...Let me know what you think of the video and track.

Estelle Is Glad She Was Dropped From Label

British rapper/singer Estelle reports that she is glad that she was dropped by V2 Records, which is in the U.K. Estelle was dropped from the label in 2004 after her first single "1980" failed to break the top ten in the U.K. during 2004. Things weren't looking good for the star until she released her single "American Boy," which shot to the number one spot on the British charts. John Legend quickly signed the singer to his Homeschool Record label. The singer stated that she is happy that she was dropped because she went through a struggle that many artists must go through in order to achieve success.

Album Releases for Week of Tuesday, April 29, 2008

British superstar Estelle is back with a new album Shine on a brand new label. Estelle is singed to John Legend's Homeschool Records. However, the album is a joint venture between Homeschool and Atlantic Records. The album features appearances and production credits from John Legend, Kardinal Offshal, Cee-lo, and Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Wyclef Jean, Mark Ronson, Swizz Beatz.



Lil' Mama returns with Voice of The Young People, which is her Jive Records debut. Chris Brown and T-Pain make appearances on the album. I love this album cover.



Pop music icon Madonna returns with her eighth and final studio album titled Hard Candy. We all know that Madonna is known for switching things up. Clearly, I believe that for this reason alone, she has remained a stable force in the music industry. Her new album Hard Candy is no exception. She takes more of a R&B/Hip-Hop turn on this release. The album features appearances from Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Nate "Danja" Hills.



Disney alum Raven Symone' is back with her fourth studio album tentatively titled Raven Symone. The album mark her evolution into adulthood. I've heard you should not sleep on this release. The album includes production and songwriting credits from Eric Hudson, Sean Garrett, The JAM, and The Clutch!



Last, but not least, Lyfe Jennings is back with another quality album titled Lyfe Change. The album features appearances from Snoop Dogg, T.I., and Wyclef Jean. Some say that this is his best album to date.
