Eminem Appears on the June 2009 Issue of Vibe

Eminem appears on the June 2009 Second Annual Real Rap Issue of Vibe. The month of May is quickly approaching. Eminem will release his first album is four years on May 19th titled Relapse. In my opinion, it will be one of the biggest albums of the year.

Ciara Says She Wasn't Nude!

Do you believe her? Ciara recently told MTV News that she wasn't nude in her recent photos in Vibe Magazine and said they bothered her. Vibe has a different twist to Ciara's statements. They claim that it was Ciara's idea to appear nude in the photos. Ciara's recalls looking at her cover shots for the first time realizing that things weren't the way that she intended for the photos to look. She stated:

"When I saw the photos, I was a little bothered because the photos appear as if I was nude, and I wasn't nude. I reached out to [Danyell Smith from Vibe] - I sent her a letter - and I was a little upset, too, in the fact that she didn't respond to me, and that happened prior to me reading her quote on the Internet. That definitely bothered me, just because of the fact that I wasn't nude."
Regardless of what Vibe says, Ciara stands behind her statements and says she knows what's up. Also, she will not sue the magazine either, but contends she was trying to make an artistic statement without being nude. Do you believe Ciara or Vibe?

Did Ciara Take It Too Far With This Magazine Cover?

This is the talk of all the blogs this morning so I thought I would share my two cents on the matter. D*mn Ciara!!! You might as well posed for Playboy taking these pics. Haha!! I don't have a problem with the cover shot, but her pic in the inside left me like, "Uh uh Cici!" Haha! She is literally hiked over to the side showing her a**! I am definitely not a hater and I give props when they are due, but I guess I wasn't expecting this from her. I mean check out this photo of Beyonce on the cover of Marie Claire recently.

Now that is class. I know that sex sells, but when are some of these women going to realize that we have to keep our integrity too! We can still be sexy with our clothes on ladies. Or better yet, if she felt it necessary to strip down to her birthday suit and make a statement, then she could've at least did this shoot for Maxim or King or something where her pics would have been more appropriate..If you want to see that booty pic I was telling you about, then you can check it out at Necolebitchie.com. I don't feel like looking at her bum bum plastered all over the site when I come through..Haha! Another thing; I didn't know Vibe did shots like these...

Vibe Responds To Robin Thicke...

Recently, Vibe issued a statement to Robin Thicke regarding his comments about not being on the cover of the magazine because he is white. They stated:

“We have a great deal of respect for Robin Thicke and his music, and we remain flattered by his desire to be on a VIBE cover. A VIBE cover is a huge milestone in any artist’s career—recent cover stars include Young Jeezy, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Usher, Senator Barack Obama, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Robert De Niro, to say nothing of our 15-year history. We wish Thicke the best, and we’re glad he discusses his thoughts on race and R&B in the new October 2008 issue of VIBE.”
So it seems that basically he wasn't on the cover because they did not want to and he is not big enough. Try a little bit harder Robin and they just may grant you your wishes. Haha! Robin is an amazing artist and I respect him for trying to bring that feel good music back, but if Robert De Niro and Eminem have been on the cover then there is no race card at play. Even Gwen Stefani has graced the Vibe cover before....

J Hov on the Cover of Vibe!

Check out J Hov on VIBE's 15th Anniversary Juice Issue. I am a big fan of Hov and all and looking forward to that upcoming album with Timbaland, but this cover photo is not hot. Vibe could have stepped things up with this one. Gotta love Jay Hov though!
