There has been a lot of talk about Nas and Kelis. People have been saying that these two are headed for trouble and that their relationship is on the rocks...Well, that doesn't appear to be true now. The couple seems to be stronger than ever as Nas recently invited his wife on stage with him at a Smirnoff Party the other day to perform "If I Ruled the World." There are a lot of Nas and Kelis fans out there. I posted a poll a few months ago about couples in the music business and Jay-Z and Beyonce didn't win. It was Kelis and Nas that took the title!! Anyway, I am glad that they are still going strong!
The wifey of Nas has been acquitted of all charges relating to an incident in Miami last year. Apparently, she was charged with resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct after she rushed police officers at a club in South Beach. Kelis was up in the mix after police officers were questioning her hubby Nas. Basically, she was acquitted of those charges on Thursday. In a statement to the Associated Press, Kelis stated, "I am happy justice prevailed and I hope this sheds light on the fact that wearing a uniform and carrying a badge does not allow you to act above the law."
Kelis definitely wasn't playing that!! After all, she did say she was "bossy!!!" Kudos to her....
I posted a poll last week asking everyone who was their favorite couple in the music industry. Jay-Z and Beyonce started off taking the lead. However, when it was all said and done, Nas and Kelis came out on top. I think they are a really cute couple. I honestly was surprised that Jay-Z and Beyonce didn't win. I was even more surprised that Chris Brown and Rihanna didn't get any votes. I thought everyone liked them, but I guess not. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon didn't get any votes either. Ashanti and Nelly got about two votes. Anyway, congrats to Nas and Kelis! I wish we could've had the chance to see their reality show, but it has been canned.
Love sizzles in the music industry too. Frequently, entertainers and artists get into relationships. I thought I would create a poll to find out who's your favorite couple in the music industry. Notice that all of the couples that I picked are either rappers or singers. I still put Ashanti and Nelly in the pool, even though there have been rumors that they have broken up. The rumor still hasn't been confirmed so I thought I would add them. I probably missed a few of them, but I just thought I would mention the ones that I could think of right off the top of my head! Check out Kelis at LAX airport the other day. What does she have on? That doesn't even look like the same Kelis that was talking about her milkshake a few years ago. She looks like she is about to break dance! I guess married life is taking a toll on the star. You can't let go of yourself when you are married!
Kelis and Nas were spotted leaving Villa Nightclub the other day. Kelis looks A LOT different, than what we are used to seeing. That colorful wig surely isn't helping the situation. She looks tired and appears to have lost some weight. Could there be trouble in the marriage of one of our favorite hip-hop couple's? Rumors are flying around that the two may be headed for trouble because Nas hasn't been sporting his wedding ring at his publicity gigs for his new album. Word on the street is that MTV cut their reality show because they were boring, which is shocking for me to hear. Actually, I am not buying that theory. They seem as if they would have a lot of fun together. Judging from this recent photo of them, something is not right. I hope that she is okay and maybe it's not a marriage problem at all. Maybe she is going through something. I can honestly say that I am rooting for this couple and I will keep them in my prayers regardless of what it is! God bless!

The singer is still sporting the short look nowadays. However, check out that color in her hair. One side of her hair is pink and the other side is black. That's a new one. I know the sun is out and all, but what is she wearing! I am not digging her look here.
