Jon. B is challenging Robin Thicke to a piano battle. He contends there is no beef and I think Jon B. is doing things all in fun. Robin Thicke is cool, but I am a bigger fan of Jon B. This piano battle is actually a little corny, but I would have to give the title to Jon B. anyday! Which artist do you like the best? Jon B. or Robin Thicke?

He took that #1 spot. T.I's first week sales of 568,000 for his new album Paper Trail, earned him that #1 spot on the Billboard 200 charts. This is his third #1 on the Billboard 200 charts. T.I. is also killing things with his new single "Live Your Life" featuring Rihanna on the billboard charts. Jennifer Hudson also had a great week by selling 217,000 copies of her self-titled debut album. Robin Thicke held the #3 spot with his new album Something Else, which sold 137,000 copies. In my book, they all had very impressive sales for the first week and that would definitely have me smiling.
Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child released her CD Unexpected yesterday. I wonder if she will have the same amount of luck that T.I., Jennifer Hudson, and Robin Thicke did? I guess we can only find out next week what her first week of album sales looks like...

Today, T.I. releases his long-awaited album Paper Trail. Along with him Jennifer Hudson and Robin Thicke also released albums on the same day. A lot of people have been anticipating Jennifer Hudson's album and Robin Thicke. Who do you think will come out on top? I think for sure that T.I. will sell the most records during it's first week. Jennifer Hudson will probably come in second behind T.I. What do you think will happen? I don't think that Dem Franchize Boyz or Mur will even get close to the rest of the artists.

Recently, Vibe issued a statement to Robin Thicke regarding his comments about not being on the cover of the magazine because he is white. They stated:
“We have a great deal of respect for Robin Thicke and his music, and we remain flattered by his desire to be on a VIBE cover. A VIBE cover is a huge milestone in any artist’s career—recent cover stars include Young Jeezy, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Usher, Senator Barack Obama, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Robert De Niro, to say nothing of our 15-year history. We wish Thicke the best, and we’re glad he discusses his thoughts on race and R&B in the new October 2008 issue of VIBE.”So it seems that basically he wasn't on the cover because they did not want to and he is not big enough. Try a little bit harder Robin and they just may grant you your wishes. Haha! Robin is an amazing artist and I respect him for trying to bring that feel good music back, but if Robert De Niro and Eminem have been on the cover then there is no race card at play. Even Gwen Stefani has graced the Vibe cover before....

Robin Thicke appears in the new issue of Billboard Magazine and claims that Vibe would not put him on the cover because he is white, which is a very idiotic statement if that is true. Thicke stated further that the only white artist that they have placed on the cover has been Eminem. The singer said that he decided to leave all else alone since his wife Paula Patton is black. Do you think Vibe's statement's were racist? Do you think their is another reason why they would not put him on the cover? If Vibe really said they would not put him on the cover because he is white, then that is racist as hell and shows bad tactic too. He also mentioned during the interview that he respects Mary J. Blige and realizes her impact on the industry by making timeless music. Here's some of his exact words,
"You can’t always expect people to be as color-blind or open-minded as you want. What you can do is keep giving your heart and soul, like Bob Marley did. His music became so overwhelmingly loving; it was a relentless love in a sense. Keep beating them down with love and they can’t stop you."What I would say to Robin Thicke is that if they do not want to put him on the cover, then oh well...Just keep making good music and maybe they will be begging to put you on the cover. Then, you can respectfully decline! But I must say that I hope that this is just not one of Robin Thicke's "diva" moments.

Check out this new promo pic from Robin Thicke. I knew he was really a gangster. He's tries to act all smooth and romantic, but underneath all of that coating, he has that bad boy side that is ready to come out. I know this is just a promo pic, but it's his hint to movie producers that he wants to be in a gangster movie. Can't you see him now in American Gangster II as the star? I think I am on to something. If American Gangster II isn't in the production phase, then I think as script needs to be written with Robin Thicke as the star. Oh, and then they can cast his wife Paula Patton as the female lead. Come on. It would be hot!
