Okay so I just found out that recently Rick Ross admitted that he was a correctional officer in Don Diva Magazine. Uh....I am sure that all of you remember that he was denying ever being a correctional officer even though photos surfaced of him on The Smoking Gun.com as a C.O. Well, now he is taking his words back and then some. His statements are as follows regarding the photo:"Yes, it's me. I never tried to hide my past. I put my name inside my CDs. My company has my [Social Security number]. I could've put a company name...I done been up and I done been down and that's what makes me what I am. I never ratted on a nigga. I never prosecuted a nigga. I never locked up a nigga, that's first and foremost. I always felt that me being the nigga that I am, I never owed a nigga an explanation. When I'm making my music and I'm talking about blow, it's because I did it. When I say that I'm rich off cocaine, it's because I did it. Those are the street principals that apply."
Hmmm...he says he never tried to hide his past, but did. He told a boldfaced lie as a matter of fact. His business is his business, but when you are exposed why keep lying and making the situation worst. You gotta keep it 100 from the jump!! Oh well. Now he looks like a complete idiot and fake. Do you think this will hurt his credibility as an artist? I can say that this is not a surprised. We all knew that was Ricky in those photos. Haha!!

Below Fab and The Clipse give their take on Rick Ross' recent correctional officer scandal to MTV.com. I agree with Malice from The Clipse. I think that Rick Ross should admit to being a C.O. It is obvious it's him in the photo. Why lie? Personally, I do not think that this is a big deal, but he is making himself look bad by lying though. If he is really true and gutta, then he just needs to be a man about it and say, "Look I don't give a f**k what you think. I had to get my bread." That just shows he's real ya know? Maybe he doesn't want anyone to find out because he was doing some crooked stuff at the prison. I used to work at a prison, not as a guard, but as a Mental Health Secretary, and correctional officers were "known" for sneaking in drugs to inmates. Just because you work at a prison, doesn't mean that you are not crooked too. Hey, it is just a possibility!
Anyway, do you think this will hurt his rep? Will is affect album sales? It might, especially if so many people are making a deal about it. Also, he is lying about it too so that really might hurt things. I really do not care about it though. Whether he had a hard life on the streets or not, he is sure giving the world an accurate account of what things are like growing up in the streets so he must know something. Just to add more fuel to the fire; maybe the inmates told him all these stories he is rapping about. Haha! Give me your take on things!!?? Also, check out what Fab and The Clipse had to say about it below:

This new joint by Nina Sky isn't the hottest thing that I have heard and all, but it is alright. It doesn't scream play me, play me! Haha! Maybe after a few listens, it will grow on me. The song features our favorite "correctional officer" too! haha! Don't lie Rick Ross. Haha! I will say that I like Nina Sky. I think they have beautiful voices and harmonize very well. I just hope that their new album The Musical is good. The album was pushed back and their single "Take Your Clothes Off" was just average to me. Don't take my word for it, however. Judge for yourselves. I really think they need to come with something similar to their first album...

Mr. Ross has been lying to us.......it has been confirmed that Rick Ross was indeed a correctional officer.
According to TheSmokingGun.com, Department of Corrections records have been released showing the rapper (born William Leonard Roberts) worked as a prison guard for 18 months beginning in December 1995. Provided by DoC spokesperson Jo Ellyn Rackleff, Ross’ personal information including his Social Security number was verified and proved his employment.
Further details show he graduated from the DoC training academy where he was later assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County before leaving in June 1997. The facility is allegedly one of the three statewide locations which intakes new prisoners. He reportedly was earning a salary of $25,794.34 upon his departure.
When previously asked in a YouTube video if he had ever worked in a prison after being called out by fellow Miami rapper Trick Daddy, Ross responded “No, that’s not true.”
Ross was unavailable for comment at press time.

Pllllease! The modern day Jabba The Hut went from dating Foxy Brown to Shay "Buckey" Johnson from Flavor of Love 2 (at least that is what the rumors are). What do these women see in this man? It definitely can't be for looks and quite frankly I do not know what it is. Apparently, he is hustlin' through money and women right now!

Rick Ross is shooting down all rumors of an engagement to Foxy Brown. Ross told MTV news Tuesday, "Nah, nah, nah. The engagement is just speculation. I'm married to the money." He, nevertheless, did not deny if he and Brown are a couple and he already proposed to her. The rap star is currently working hard on his next release titled Deeper Than Rap, which has no release date as of yet.

After just releasing his album Trilla on May 11th, Rick Ross is already preparing for a follow-up, which is due for release later this year. A new single for the upcoming album titled "Get Down," which features Pharrell Williams, has leaked online. Pharrell, who is my favorite producer, seems to be on a lot of tracks lately. I like the collaboration between Rick Ross and Pharrell on the track. Listen to the track below:
