Vivid Entertainment said Tuesday it was releasing a 40-year-old amateur sex video allegedly starring legendary musician Jimi Hendrix and two women. Vivid Entertainment, the world's biggest producer of adult films,says in a statement:
"Jimi Hendrix, the iconic rock-n-roll guitarist, will be seen in a new role -- as an adult film star -- in 'Jimi Hendrix: The Sex Tape'."
The Los Angeles-based company said it obtained the footage from a collector, and said it had been authenticated by experts, including Pamela Des Barres, a former groupie and lover of Hendrix.

Akon is gearing up to release his third album called "Acquitted". In a recent interivew with MakingTheMogul.com Akon's brother Bu Thiam, who is the co-Ceo of Konvict Muzik spilled the beans on another Akon and Michael Jackson collab.
"Akon does have an album coming out called Acquitted. I think it’s probably gonna be the biggest album of the year. The first single is with Michael Jackson. Brand new, him and Michael Jackson. It’s gonna be stupid." (source)
This will mark the second time the pair has worked together since they collab on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008" for the "Thriller 25 Anniversary" album.
R&B singer Mya has had to postpone her Broadway debut.
She was to appear in the Broadway production of Chicago on May 12th, but the singer has broken her foot and is unable to perform.
Barry Weissler, producer of Chicago, said in statement on Tuesday.
“In the Theatre Industry, we are sometimes forced to deal with circumstances beyond our control. But speaking for the entire Chicago creative team, we all wish her a speedy recovery, and look forward to experiencing her portrayal of Velma Kelly as soon as possible”.
British superstar Estelle is back with a new album Shine on a brand new label. Estelle is singed to John Legend's Homeschool Records. However, the album is a joint venture between Homeschool and Atlantic Records. The album features appearances and production credits from John Legend, Kardinal Offshal, Cee-lo, and Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Wyclef Jean, Mark Ronson, Swizz Beatz.
Lil' Mama returns with Voice of The Young People, which is her Jive Records debut. Chris Brown and T-Pain make appearances on the album. I love this album cover. 
Pop music icon Madonna returns with her eighth and final studio album titled Hard Candy. We all know that Madonna is known for switching things up. Clearly, I believe that for this reason alone, she has remained a stable force in the music industry. Her new album Hard Candy is no exception. She takes more of a R&B/Hip-Hop turn on this release. The album features appearances from Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Nate "Danja" Hills.
Disney alum Raven Symone' is back with her fourth studio album tentatively titled Raven Symone. The album mark her evolution into adulthood. I've heard you should not sleep on this release. The album includes production and songwriting credits from Eric Hudson, Sean Garrett, The JAM, and The Clutch!
Last, but not least, Lyfe Jennings is back with another quality album titled Lyfe Change. The album features appearances from Snoop Dogg, T.I., and Wyclef Jean. Some say that this is his best album to date.

Today, Busta Rhymes premiered two new videos from his eighth studio album I'm Blessed, which will be released on June 17, 2008. The first video, "We Made It," features Linkin Park and is produced by Cool and Dre. This is a nice collaboration between Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park. It is different than what you would expect from Busta, but when has Busta Rhymes ever did the same thing?
The second video,“Don’t Touch Me (Throw Da Water On ‘Em)," was produced by The Hitmen. This track is more like the Busta Rhymes that we have been familiar with all these years. The track is bananas! Let us know what you think!

If you are not aware that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are dating, then now you know. Apparently, the two began dating after filming the video for her third single "Love Story" from her new album E=MC². Things intensified the other day when Mariah and Nick Cannon attended the after-party for her latest film "Tennessee" at Cadillac Lounge at Tenjune on April 26, 2008 with a sparkling ring on her left finger. Reports contend that the two lovebirds were holding hands as well.
When a representative from people.com asked Nick Cannon what he loved about Mariah, he stated, "Everything." On the other hand, Mariah flirted with the issue at hand by stating, "I'm in love with my dog. "He is my special someone. I love spending time with him."
I would have never guessed that these two would be dating. I wish them the best of luck. I am ready to see some pics of them together!

I have to congratulate him on turning that money that he has earned into more money and doing something unexpected. I mean, who would have guessed that he would open up an Asian Restaurant?
In a statement, the rapper revealed, "During my travels, I've experienced some of the most diverse international culinary flavors in the world. After experiencing Yeo's modern spin on Singaporean cuisine combined with the sexy dining experience, I wanted to bring this restaurant home to Atlanta." However, don't think that this be the last restuarant opening for Ludacris. In fact, he plans to open at least two more restuarants with Yeo in Atlanta.

For all you Nelly fans out there, here's a preview of Nelly's new music video "Stepped On My Jays." The song will be included on his upcoming album Brass Knuckles. The clip of the video was actually posted by Jermaine Dupri on his You Tube channel. The track features R&B singer Ciara and also will be used for an ad campaign for Nike. "Stepped On My Jays" sounds like the Nelly that we are used to. It has that "Air Force Ones" vibe. I hope there is more to the video, than looking at a bunch of shoes, however.
His fifth studio album will feature appearances from Ciara, Jermaine Dupri, Akon, T.I., LL Cool J, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Fergie, and many more. I wonder if Ashanti will appear on the album? Brass Knuckles will hit stores on June 24, 2008. "Party People," an upbeat track featuring Fergie, has already been released.

R&B diva Whitney Houston disappointed a sold-out crowd who came to see a rare performance by the trouble-prone singer at the Plymouth Jazz Festival in Tobago on Sunday, April 27. Whitney took the stage before just before headliner Rod Stewart took the stage.
Houston opened her show with 'Its Not Right, But Its Okay' and by her third song, 'Saving All My Love,' but midway in her performance tenor tone was in full rasp.
Delivering only seven songs during her 30 minute set, Houston was reportedly paid a whopping $3 million for the show.Though journalists were flown in from all over the world, Houston refused to allow media and photographers within 200 feet of the stage. She brought her own photographer to the venue and only he was allowed to shoot her performance.
Wearing a white gown with a single shoulder strap, Houston skipped around the stage and continuously shouted to the crowd: "I love you Trinidad !'
Unfortunately, the concert was in Tobago!
Locals shouted back each time: "This is Tobago!"

Songbird Amy Winehouse was released from police custody Saturday, April 26 just one day after being held for allegedly head-butting a man at a bar earlier in the week. Reportedly, Winehouse apologized to the police and the man that she slapped.
Amy Winehouse did as she was told and voluntarily reported to a London police station on Friday, April 25 to be questioned after allegedly head-butting a man outside a London pub during a wild night out. A 38-year-old man claimed that he was head-butted by the singer and filed a lawsuit against her.
Many people are hoping that she divorces her husband Blake Fielder. Rumors are circling around that both of them have cheated on each other. In fact, her husband is currently incarcerated. Some say that her husband is contributing to her demise. Her father issued this statement to U.K.'s News of the World that he wanted the Grammy-winner locked up in a mental hospital for her own protection. "I want her sectioned," he said. "The situation is getting out of control. I want her off the street."
As I have said before, I hope that she gets things on track. She is too talented to go down in flames.

Ne-Yo has premiered his new video for "Closer." "Closer" will be the lead single from his new album Year of the Gentlemen. He is definitely sporting the look of a "gentlemen" in the video, which shows him dancing around in a suit. The song is a bit different than what you normally would expect from the R&B crooner who is a master at ballads. The beat is a dance-pop record riddled with synthesizers, guitar riffs and a house influence. When you watched the video, did you get that Michael-Jackson vibe? I did. Of course, it was not as good as Michael Jackson, but I think that he had MJ in mind when filming the video. He is working with Michael Jackson on his new album so I am pretty sure that this is where he got this new "Ne-Yo" from.

Lyfe Jennings is back with some more "realness" for the masses. His third studio album titled Lyfe Change will be released on April 29. The album has two lead singles titled "Cops Up" and Never Never Land." The videos for the singles have already premiered.
His new album is socially themed and sets out to spread positive messages. Lyfe Change also centers on family themes as well. When speaking about the title of his new album, the R&B singer says, "I guess moving away from home and just trying to make sure that I build a great family around my children." I have to hand it to Mariah Carey. She is looking fab nowadays. The singer claims to have lost 20 pounds by adhering to a strict diet and water aerobics. Here the star in shown in pink and lavender at the Empire State Building in New York City. In honor of Mariah's new CD E=MC², the popular landmark will be pink, white, and lavender during the weekend.
Mariah Carey definitely knows how to do things her way. Even though her album is a disappointment in my book, she still manages to have an impressive first week of sales. Kudos to her. I wonder if this release will do as good as the last one?

The Game's album LAX has been pushed back to avoid the same release date with G-Unit's new album. Now, Interscope has confirmed that the Game's album will be released on July 8, while G-Unit's Terminate on Sight will be released on July 1, 2008. In a statement, the Game confirmed this news by saying, "I will drop my album on July 8 in order to clean up the mess 50 made with his new release on July 1. I thank all my fans for their support on the new single 'Pain' featuring Keyshia Cole."
The Game has confirmed that Dr. Dre will be producing the album. Other notable producers on the release will be Cool and Dre, Just Blaze, and Scott Storch. The rapper stated that he made "shit for the clubs" with Scott Storch. Also, Lil' Wayne, Akon, Nas, Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo, and Ludacris are set to make appearances on the album.
Today, April 25th 2008, marks six years since the tragic passing of TLC's Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes. The most out spoken member and much-loved star was killed in a car accident in the Honduras in 2002. Lopes was 30 years old would have been 36 today. Unfortunately this is the birthday of T-Boz from TLC. So Happy Birthday T-Boz and Left Eye you will always be missed.
