Eminem appears on the June 2009 Second Annual Real Rap Issue of Vibe. The month of May is quickly approaching. Eminem will release his first album is four years on May 19th titled Relapse. In my opinion, it will be one of the biggest albums of the year.

We all know that Eminem loves to take shots at his fellow entertainers and artists and Amy Winehouse is no exception. Sources reveal that the rapper has taken shots at Amy in his new single, "We Made You," with the following line: "You're my Amy, I'm your Blake/ Matter fact make me a birthday cake/ With a saw blade in it to make my jail break/ Baby, I think you just met your soul mate."
Apparently, Eminem wanted to collaborate with with Amy on his upcoming album Relapse, especially since they both have struggled with addiction and substance abuse. Eminem emphathizes with the Soul singer and reached out to her for a collaboration. Unfortunately, the pairing of the two on a record did not happen as Ms. Winehouse declined the offer. Sources say that she was flattered by the offer and is a big fan of Hip-Hop and Eminem. However, with her current struggles, she could not go through with the collaboration. As a result, Eminem dissed her on his new track. However, reports say their is no love lost between the two. Eminem understands that she has been through a tough time in her career and needed time to get herself together. Eminem still hopes that they will collaborate on a future project.

Eminem recently premiered his new video "We Made You," which, of course, was produced by Dr. Dre. It seems Eminem is sticking with his Slim Shady persona. I am kinda surprised he came out like this. I think he needed to come across a little different. The video is a little funny though...

Eminem has a hit on his hands with "Crack A Bottle." His new single has jumped on The Billboard Hot 100 Charts from Number 78 to 1. Also, the song has been downloaded like crazy and as of February 12, 2009, download sales have totaled to 418,000 according to Neilsen's Soundscan. Eminem has actually broken a record for the most debut week downloads. This will be the second #1 hit for Eminem.
I believe that Eminem's upcoming album will be one of the most top selling projects this year. I definitely think Lil Wayne is going to have a lot of "A Milli" competition this year from Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Jay-Z. It will be interesting to see how things play out...

Eminem is making one of the most anticipated albums this year and it looks like we could hear it soon. Recently, 50 Cent stated that Relapse is almost finished and there will be an announcement soon. 50 notes that the news was confirmed when he was recently in Detroit mixing his single "I Get It In."
The album is in the mixing phase right now and I am just wondering if we will hear the album next month? Appearances on this album are not totally clear at this time, but it looks like 50 is definitely going to be on the album. Dr. Dre of course will be on the album, as well as Jay-Z and T.I. It will be interesting to see who all will appear on the album once it's said and done.
Will Relapse impact the Billboard charts with a big bang? I believe that it will. Eminem has that universal appeal and usually sells a lot of records. The lead single to the album is unclear at this time. Some believe that it may be "Crack A Bottle," but since the track leaked, it's definitely not set in stone. Interestingly though, a mixed and final version of the track was recently released on January 6, 2009.
The next couple of week's will clearly be interesting. Hopefully, Eminem's album doesn't get pushed back until the end of the year. I've read some Dre interviews and it seems that he's been totally focused on Eminem's album; even putting it before his own. Dr. Dre even says that Eminem's album is reason why we haven't seen Detox thus far. That alone is a good sign that we will hear something from Slim Shady soon.

We all have been waiting for Dr. Dre's Detox to come out for years, only to get disappointed. Earlier this year, it was finally confirmed that Detox would drop by the end of the year. Well, the end of the year is quickly approaching and there still is no word of Detox's release until now. Recently, the Chairman of Interscope Jimmy Iovine shed some light on why Detox has been pushed back. Basically, he states that Dre had to stop working on his album in order to work on Eminem's upcoming project. His exact words are as follows: “We lost Dr. Dre to Eminem. Dre had to stop making his album to finish Eminem's album. Eminem hit a streak, and when a guy like Eminem gets on fire, you stop everything. Dre's going back in January. He'll be finished with Eminem by then, and he'll finish his album.”
Iovine stated that Eminem was supposed to drop at this end of this year as well to replace Dr. Dre's album. It looks like we will probably see Eminem's album before we see Dre's and we are talking next year folks. So for all of you who hoped to hear Detox this year, then get ready for some disappointment. I pretty much figured that all of these promises by Bishop Lamont and definite clarifications about the album dropping this year was just going to be a broken promise. We have been waiting for that album for what it seems to be "centuries." Iovine states that we will most likely hear both albums next year, however he did not make any promises. I am actually getting tired of buying into this Detox hype. When I hear a guaranteed single, then I will get excited....![]()

It has finally been confirmed from sources within the Aftermath camp that 2008 is the year that Dr. Dre will drop the much anticipated album Detox. The release date also has been scheduled for 2008 by Interscope Records, which is an improvement from what we have been hearing. For years, this album has been the subject of many Dr. Dre fans. We would hear rumors of the album dropping, only to be disappointed later. His third album is rumored to be the last and final outing for the producer. Some say that is may be released in June, which is hard for me to believe. I guess we will have to see. Many artists and producers have claimed to have recorded tracks for the album, such as 50 cent, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, producer J.R. Rotem, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg to just name a few. Hopefully, this will be the year that we hear the most anticipated album of the year!
In other news, rapper Eminem also plans to release his fifth studio album this year, coming from almost a three year hiatis. Some sources say that the album is yet untitled and that it will drop in the 4th Quarter of 2008. However, other sources say the album will be titled, "King Mathers." Regardless, of what the album is titled, this will also be one of the hottest albums to drop in 2008. Of course, we all know that Dr. Dre will produce on the record. 50 cent and T.I. have also confirmed that they have recorded tracks with the rapper.
