Amy Winehouse Will Debut Songs In May..
Sultry Soul singer Amy Winehouse will be releasing some new songs in May, according to her official website. Her official website stated that she would preview some of her new songs during "Island Records 50 Year celebrations" to be held at the Shepherds Bush Empire on May 31. In her own words, the British superstar stated:
"I hope to play some new songs. I'm busy in the studio at the minute, too busy to go out and have much fun really. I can't even play pool in my favourite pool hall. It's probably for the best though. It's probably for the best. I only end up getting arrested for assault when I go out these days."Also, Amy will be performing at the 18th Annual Saint Lucia Jazz Festival on May 8. During the event, which will take place on May 2 - 10, she will be accompanied by Patti LaBelle, Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan and Chicago among others. Reportedly, the singer has been recording in St. Lucia and working with the talented Salaam Remi for her third project. The rumor is that her upcoming album will primarily be reggae-influenced. If that is true, then I'm excited. All of you Stayondeck readers out there know that I'm a huge fan so a reggae album would be dope! She can definitely pull it off.
