Why Can't Janet Jackson Get Good Album Sales?
With the total blunder of Janet Jackson's latest album Discipline, I am sure the superstar is scratching her head. In my opinion, Discipline was one of the better albums that I have heard from her in a long time. But still even with positive reviews on the album, it only managed to sell anywhere from $390,000-400,000 copies, which is unfortunate. LA Reid stated earlier this year that he wanted to revive the careers of Jackson and Mariah Carey. Mariah actually scored a hit album with The Emancipation of Mimi. Her current album E=MC2 is not as good as the first album, but it did hit that coveted platinum mark, which is good. Why can't Janet get the same type of success? Is the public just tired of her music? Some have blamed her man JD since he is the producer. I really do not know how to answer the question that I have asked, but I think that maybe Janet's domination of the charts is behind her. It could have been the superbowl incident that is affecting her album sales. What do you all think? Nonetheless, I really hope that she can rebound from her slump. Right now Discipline is no longer being promoted, but I wonder if she is going to go back to the drawing board for one more try...

i´ve been a HUGE Janet FAN since i was a little nicole, but since that velvet rope album, i didn´t like her songs as much as the older ones. i don´t know, to me they just all lame, really they all sound the same, nothing special. that makes me sad i hope she will do a song that gets everyone like, aah yeah that´s our janet. and maybee i´m annoyed of her, always beeing so less dressed in her videos, that´s cheap.
