Why are the Chosen few so popular? Don't let the blogs fool you when it comes to new artists!

I am not going to name any names in this one but there are a ton of mediocre ass artists that are so popular these days in the blog world. Whether it is their style, their personality, or basically anything besides their music, it seems like right now bloggers seem to follow these trendy little pop artists that no one knows about while a lot of true talented artists are sidelined because they aren't in the "popular club." I mean seriously, do music blogs carry any relevance to music culture? Where were they before Sean Kingston got big? Or how about before Jeezy got big? Jeezy had the hottest tapes in the street but you better believe concrete loop wouldn't be giving him a look every week or Sandra Rose would have been taking pictures of him every week. What is your average hardworking american going to bump? Some shit they can feel! They don't care if it is different or weird if it is still bubblegum. Culture speaks for itself and the a lot of bloggers try to create a hollywood world out of some trendy ass people that they gravitate to because it is popular. I'd love to see a dope artist like Algebra or Bilal on a concreteloop site every week. If you haven't gotten my drift yet, what I am saying is that 95% of the artists these blogs hype up never turn out to be anything. If I was a new artist, I would hope that I wasn't popular on the blogs before I broke because more than likely I am never going to break!
