Throwback Joints-"Whoot There It Is" vs. "Whoomp There It Is"

I was just thinking about some songs I used to listen back in the day and these two songs came to mind. Remember that battle between 95 South's "Whoot There It Is" and Tag Team's "Whoomp There It Is?" Apparently, 95 South came out with the song first and then Tag Team jacked the song and made another version. Back, then in the early 90's, there was a lot of controversy over these songs simply because Tag Team made another version of the song, which actually got more shine. I remember arguing with the neighborhood girls about which song was the best. I can't lie. "Whoot There It Is" used to be my s**t! I mean, it was the original and a lot of people didn't know about it. Anyway, Tag Team had a lot of success from the song "Whoomp There It Is," but that was their only hit. 95 South or Tag Team had nothing to be arguing about anyway because they disappeared from the music scene, just as quickly as they entered it.
