Live Nation signs another Big Band!!!! good bye record labels

I am starting to see a trend, one that will possibly make the so called "major record labels" start to think about shutting some doors. They cannot compete with Live Nation if it came down to a bidding war. First it was Madonna, then Jay-Z, then Shakira, and now Nickleback has signed with Live Nation in a deal that is reportedly between the $50-$70 Million dollar range. To me, this cannot, and will not be beaten. One because of the simple fact that Live Nation is on pace to be the biggest touring company in the WORLD!!! They own/operate more than 135 live entertainment venues in the world including 43 in Europe alone. Why not sign with a company that will pay out that much money, and book/produce the shows, as well as get your music to a worldwide audience??? These labels cannot compete with that!
