Let's Face it.. The next albums I'll be copping are...
Ok so it's 2008 and I've learned a lesson about what the expect from artists. First of all, classic is as classic does. That means that if you have a reputation of putting out a classic album and are known for classic music then I will be crossing my fingers for your next album to be a classic. First of all, I have to apologize for expecting so much out of Lil Wayne because let's face it, Wayne has never put out a true "classic" album so it was naive of me to think that Carter 3 would be that level. So who in the game right now can still deliver a classic? For now I am going to have to bank on the elite list of artists that have done it in the past. That would be: Andre 3000 (love below, southern playalistic, atliens, aquemini, stankonia), Dr Dre(as an artist not to mention production -the cronic, the cronic 2001, people you know what comes after that.. ) D'angelo(brown sugar, voodoo), and Jay Z(reasonable doubt, the blueprint, vol 1, American Gansgter). So basically until these guys drop an album nothing else matters to me anymore unless a new artist can come out and do something. As for right now all I hear are artists jumping on everyone elses nuts "Oh so and so got a hit song from that guy so I am going to get one from him too." No one wants to make albums anymore, no one wants to make classics they just want to be on the radio and be famous. and they wonder why no one wants to do more than download one single. uno

I agree Bite! Everyone is driven by the money and the flashy cars nowadays. Putting so much effort into a classic album would be too much work for them...And the bad thing about it is that this crap actually sells! I like that list of artists though...D' Angelo, Dr. Dre, and Andre 3000 all put effort into their music...I can't wait for all of their upcoming projects!
