Timbaland Crowned Songwriter of the Year by ASCAP
Recently married Timbaland took home the coveted "Songwriter of the Year" Award at the ASCAP 21st Annual of Rhythm & Soul Music Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in L.A on Monday. The talented producer/songwriter received the award due to his involvement on four major tracks last year. The songs are as follows: "Ice Box" by Omarion, "Make Me Better" by Fabolous featuring Ne-Yo, and two Justin Timberlake songs, "My Love" featuring T.I. and "Until the End of Time" featuring Beyonce Knowles. He won the same award a few months ago at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards. Other notable winners included, Robin Thicke for the hit song "Lost Without U" and Fabolous for "You Make Me Better." Shawty Lo, The Dream, J Holiday, Flo Rida, and Raheem DeVaughn performed at the event. Congratulations to Timbaland on all of your achievements and recent marriage to publicist Monique Idlett.
