Terrance Howard Shifts Focus to Music

Yes. You heard it right. Actor Terrance Howard is planning his musical debut, and no I am not talking about theatre. The actor who rapped his way through Hustle and Flow, is preparing to release his debut album Shine Through It on September 2. He is not only rapping on the LP, but he produced all of the tracks as well. One of the tracks will even feature Chris Brown. Hustle and Flow is actually one of my favorite movies and I think Terrance Howard did a good job. He performed about three tracks from the movie soundtrack. Most of you probably remember "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp." However, I heard that Three Six Mafia wrote and produced the three tracks on the soundtrack that Terrance Howard performed. Correct me if I am wrong. So, now that I put that on the table, do you think he will make a lasting impression in the music industry? Basically, if what I said is true about Three Six Mafia writing and producing the tracks on the Hustle and Flow Soundtrack, do you think that his material will be any good? I would have to admit that I am a skeptic. He delivered the music very well in Hustle and Flow, but I wonder what his music will sound like on his own. I am definitely curious since he has stated that he has always wanted to be a musician, in addition to an actor. What do you think?
