Joss Stone Fights to Leave Label



British R7B/Soul singer Joss Stone is preparing for legal battle to leave her label. According to sources, the singer has hired a legal team in the fight against EMI. Apparently, Joss feels that the label is too strict and wants to be released from her contract. Her current deal with EMI, includes three more albums. The label wanted to take more control of her future projects. The singer issued this statement:

"I'm not happy at all with EMI. I've spoken to my lawyers and am seeing what my options are. The industry is in a state and EMI are in a state, so I would rather work on other things."


Her last album Introducing Joss Stone was labeled a success since it peaked at #2 on the billboard charts in the United States. Rafael Saadiq did a great job on the album. Reportedly, he and Joss were dating last year. I wonder if they are still together? If anyone knows about that let me know!
