Foxy Brown Will Be Released From Prison Soon....



Rapper Foxy Brown will be released from prison on April 18, 2008 (which is the day of my b-day). Haha!! She has served 8 months at the Rose M. Singer Facility in New York. Apparently, she violated her probation and had to do the time. Prison life was not easy on her, according to her manager Chaz Williams. He stated:

"She did every single minute of her bid in jail, and she did it under the most severe conditions. They had her on continuous lockdown just because she is a celebrity. They were trying to break her spirit."

Once she is released from prison, she hopes to have a reality show about her life. As far as album is concerned, she will release Brooklyn's Don Diva, which is due on May 13, 2008.

In an era where female emcees are a rarity in the industry, do you think she has what it takes to get back on top again? In my honest opinion, it is hard to tell. The industry has changed a lot from the 90's. Even record labels nowadays are weary of signing a female emcee. She is definitely one of the dopest "femcees" in the game and I wish her a lot of success with her upcoming release. Female emcees are a dying breed in an industry ruled by men.
