Ego Trip's Miss Rap Supreme to Air April 14, 2008!



Ego Trip is back with a new show! Miss Rap Supreme, which debuts on the VH1 network tonight, is a reality show in which contestants battle for the title of "the next great female MC." The show will be hosted by MC Search, formerly of 3rd Bass and female rapper Yo-Yo. Check your local listings for the time. If you were familiar with last years White Rapper Show, then you will understand that this year's show is a lot different. Miss Rap Supreme is not looking for the best white rapper, but instead, has narrowed it down to the best female rapper. In his myspace blog, MC Search basically stated that it is harder to be a female rapper than a white rapper. He also noted that labels are hesitant to sign a female rapper. Oftentimes, many of them will pass over the good ones!

I really understand where Search is coming from because last year, female rapper Persia was robbed! I mean, that girl, ripped everyone with her rhymes, yet she was kicked off. I have a lot of respect for that girl. I really wasn't crazy about $hamrock, the guy that won the show. I actually think he sucked and I didn't understand that one! Anyway, I hope they pick someone that deserves to win this year instead of some cookie-cutter, wannabe, wack-ass rapper! Please, spare us from the pain. Stay tuned for the show and may the best woman win.... Who will be watching?
