Remember this video "He's Mine" by Mokenstef? I was in high school when this song came out. There were a lot of fights at school back then! Haha! All of the girls were like "He's Mine! He's Mine!" Heineken Red Star Soul tour will be hosting some of the hottest R&B acts in the game. Kenny Burns & BET’s Danella, will host the 9 city stop. The concerts are invite-only events and tickets will be given away by select radio stations. Scheduled artist include: Grammy award producer/songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox, Ashanti, Goapele, Keyshia Cole, Chrisette Michele, Dwele, Raheem DeVaughn, Estelle, Bilal, Lyfe Jennings, and Musiq Soulchild. Check your local area to see which artist is gonna perform that night. Not all artist will be at every show.
Don't think that Amerie has fallin' off. As some of you may know, she left Columbia Records and has now signed with Island Def Jam Music Group. Unfortunately, her last album Because I Love It was not released in the United States. And let me tell you that was a shame because it was a very good album and sold well in the U.K. She is currently working on her upcoming studio album. Those of you who are stayondeck.com readers got a little glimpse of Amerie recording in the studio with legendary songwriter/producer Bryan Michael-Cox a few weeks ago. I was surprised to find out that Beyonce's clothing line is not stacking that cash. According, to Newsweek, Beyonce's clothing line House of Dereon is not selling well. Hmmmmm....I wonder why? And she even got media exposure on Oprah people! Oprah! I actually wear the clothing line and love the clothes. I mean, some of her outfits have way too much design on them and beaded things, but for the most part, her clothes are cool. I am completely shocked though because I see her clothes everywhere. I think this is her first failure at anything. Sorry B!
How many songs is Mariah Carey going to debut from her current album? I swear she has probably debuted or performed at least 4 or 5 tracks from E=MC2. By the time the year is over, we will probably have heard the whole album, one way or another, through at least a performance or video! Haha! She performed "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Why is she performing this song when she just released "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" as her video? If you ask me, after "Touch My Body," I would have released "Migrate" featuring T-Pain, and then this track "Side Effects" featuring Young Jeezy. That would have saved her a lot of trouble from releasing all of these songs! You can't got wrong with having T-Pain or Jeezy on a track. "Side Effects is a better choice for a single, instead of "I'll Be Lovin U Long Time." Mimi is definitely still doing her thang though. She has some top nominations at the VMA's this year.
