A preview of Mariah Carey's new album E=MC²is available at Amazon.com. I personally am not impressed. This album seems to fall short of Emancipation of Mimi. Regardless of my personal opinions on the album, I think that it will sell well and probably get some Top 10 hits. By previewing the tracks, I cannot fully make an accurate assumption on the album. I still would to listen to the tracks completely when the album is released. However, I think that the music should initially grab you and make you want to hear more. Unfortunately, I did not get that feeling..... Take note of the first track "Migrate" featuring T-pain, which is rumored to be the next single off the album. The beat is nice and it will definitely be a Top 10 hit, especially if T-Pain and DanjaHandz has anything to do with it. Everything that T-Pain and Danja touches guarantees a hit! The hook is not catchy enough for me, but it will definitely entice her listeners. Let me know what you guys think!
According to an article in the NY Post, Bobby Brown claims in his upcoming autobiography that Whitney Houston is responsible for his drug addiction. He also claims that he and Whitney Houston's 15 year marriage was doomed from the beginning. The R&B singer states:
"I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice," Brown writes in "Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But," out next month. "At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine.
The marriage was doomed from the very beginning. Within the first year we separated, with several more to follow. I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children."
Now, I do not know Whitney Houston or Bobby Brown, but I do not buy his story. Whitney seemed to have a lot going for her, until she married Bobby Brown. He has had several run-ins with the law and is a pathological cheater! Why would I believe that Whitney Houston drove him to using drugs? I feel that this is only a desperate attempt for Bobby to draw some attention to himself. Save it Bobby! I am not buying a single word that you have to say! Leave Whitney alone and let her continue to get her life back in order again...

With only one more studio album left on Jay-Z’s contract with longtime label Def Jam, Hov plans to ink a $150 million dealer with concert mogul Live Nation. The deal will include all his entertainment ventures including recording, touring and more for the next decade.
Live Nation has already created similar deals with artists like U2 and Madonna but to a less inclusive extent. They are more familiar in the world of rock and country music tours but are investing a lot of dinero in an artist who’s album American Gangster sold a displeasing 1 million copies compared to 2003’s Black Album which sold 3 million.
Currently Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige are on tour with Live Nation for Hov’s biggest tour since his farewell stint 3 years ago. The deal would finance the start up venture that will include his own label, music publishing, talent-consulting and managing.
When asked about his future with Live Nation Jay-Z stated, “I’ve turned into the Rolling Stones of Hip-Hop”.
After her big screen debut in Step Up 2: The Streets, Cassie is prepping for her next studio album to be released in June 2008. This new single "Thirsty" is a nice, mellow track. I definitely think that it will get a lot of radio play. It's indeed destined for the clubs. It is rumored that she is in the studio with super producer Danjahandz. Therefore, she should have some hits in store for us. Also, Bryan Michael Cox, Mario Winans, Eric Hudson, Seven, and, of course, Ryan Leslie will have producing credits on the album. We all know that Cassie has received a lot of criticism for her singing, but she reportedly is working hard to perfect her craft. Do you think that she will sound better on her new album? In my interview with Chase N. Cashe, he mentioned that Keri Hilson would be the lead lady in this video. Well, she definitely is! The video looks hot with all of the flashing lights. Could music's "golden couple" finally be getting hitched? Well, it seems that Beyonce' and Jay-Z could be close to tying-the-not. According to people.com, the couple has reportedly obtained marriage licenses in New York. Of course, when asked if this were true, Beyonce' had no comment. Jay-Z, 38, and Beyonce', 26, have been dating since 2002. This relationship appears to have staying power and their candidness about their relationship has proved to be beneficial. I couldn't imagine imagine doing one thing to only to have the public creating a frenzy about it. However, I have to admit that it is interesting. Haha....Sorry for all of you guys that thought that you could have a chance with B. They have two months to make it official. As long as that takes place, then it will be a wrap!
Female rapper Remy Ma has asked fans on her myspage page to write letters about how her music has inspired them in a positive way. She hopes that these letters will influence the judge to keep her out jail for shooting a woman after a Manhattan party. Do you think there are enough loyal fans out there to keep her out of jail? I really do not know what a lot of nice fans are going to do to keep her out of jail. If she committed a crime, then she got to do her time. Maybe her claims are true that she shot the woman on an accident. However, she must have had enough sense to take the gun out and cock it back at her friend who she suspected of taking $3,000 from her. You never know though, these letters might take some time off of that possible 25 year prison sentence that is looming ahead. I personally feel that no matter if it was an accident or not, these letters or emails, rather, aren't going to do anything, but keep her occupied while she is sitting in her jail cell!
