Asher Roth went from throwing keg parties to being called "The White Jay-Z"! Asher is a upcoming rapper that's is being heralded as the next best lyricist in hip-hop. If you like going off what someone else says then listen to Jay-Z, Akon, Andre 3000, Steve Rifkind, Don Cannon & DJ Drama when they say he's certified. After a big bidding war with Warner Bros., Def Jam, and SRC, Asher decided to go with SRC/Universal.
Steve Rifkind is not like an artist turned CEO, he does business. So you don’t have to worry about creativeness coming out of him. He knows what he’s doing, he’s been doing it awhile and he’s a big ,big homey. A good guy with a good heart and he’s passionate about the music. There’s nothing more you can ask for than somebody that really digs what you are doing in your corner.
The MC feels respect and giving his audience a message is really his driving force in Hip Hop's unbalance industry. The feelings that he gets when he listen to some of his favorite rappers such as Outkast, Mos Def, The Roots and Black Star.
My music is not about the dollar signs but it's more love. I mean we all need money but to do something that you love and be able to uplift people is a beautiful thing. Music changes your emotions so I really have to be feeling it in order to write it. I just want to make honest music.
Off sight you may compare him to Eminem but after listening to Asher I'm sure that you will see the 21 year old has his own identify.
Eminem is a great rapper. What white rapper don't look up to him but I'm nice too. It’s my time to shine.
Currently Asher Roth is finishing up his debut album but until then check out his Mixtape with Dj Cannon & Dj Drama Presents: Asher Roth The GreenHouse Effect.
Lyricism will be Televise.

Check out this clip of Danity Kane performing "Damaged" on NBC's Nashville star Monday night. I really don't know why the hell they are there. After all, isn't Nashville Star a country-themed show? Anyway, I guess it doesn't hurt as far as promotion is concerned. They are currently in the process of shooting the video for their second single "Bad Girl," which features Missy Elliot.
