Songstress Rihanna is currently in the studio working on her upcoming album, which has been described as "darker, edgier, and angrier." Recently, Ne-Yo opened up to E! Online stating that she'll be saying things that she's never said before. Akon, did confer, however, that the album will have some bright moments as he desribed a song that they worked on together.
As of yet, the album doesn't have a title, but it seems to be loaded with fellow musicians, such as, Pharrell, One Republic's Ryan Tedder, The Dream, Justin Timberlake, Soulja Boy, Shontelle, Stargate, Jay-Z, and more!
Blueprint 3 is probably one of the most anticipated albums this year. Recently, the cover art to Jay Z's upcoming album Blueprint 3 was revealed. The album is scheduled for release on September 11th, which is a date that we all know far too well. So far, the album is marked with collaborations from Kid Cudi, Rihanna, Kanye West, Mr. Hudson, Nas, and Drake. On the production side of the spectrum, Timbaland, No I.D, MGMT, and Kanye West, add their musical touches to the album. In fact, Kanye appears to have the most production credits on this album, which was confirmed by Jay-Z earlier this year. The album's track listing has been provided below. Wow. Check this out. Apparently, Chris Brown's future in the music industry is up in the air at this moment. According to Billboard.com, Chris Brown's song "Forever" has dropped from #14 to #58, after he was arrested. Now, the song has completely disappeared from the Hot 100. Even his song with Keri Hilson, titled "Superhuman" has fell off the charts as well. However, his collaboration with T-Pain, titled "Freeze, is still holding steady on the charts. Rumors are flying around that Rihanna and Chris Brown are in the booth working on a track together. Some say that his listeners have declined greatly. I wonder if this is just temporary or if the fans will eventually forgive him?
By now, everybody has heard about the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation, which has been swirling around on the net for weeks. I mean, I pretty much felt it was a no-brainer that they were finished with each other. However, when I began hearing that she was hiding details about the incident, something told me that it was highly possible that she'd take him back. Well, my suspicions were true. RiRi has given her R&B artist turned boxer boyfriend another chance! I mean, that's just insane to me! Why would she take him back after he bloodied and bruised her up like that? I know that only the both of them know the complete events that led to that violent tirade weeks ago. However, I'm just really disappointed in her. I guess she likes a good beating. True, we all make mistakes, but a situation of that nature should not be tolerated. It could have easily turned fatal. The sad thing about it is that a lot of women take men back, after they've been abused, which doesn't send a good message to the violator. I mean not all women tolerate abusive behavior, but a great deal of them do. I really hope this doesn't happen again for Rihanna's sake. The couple is supposedly staying at one of Diddy's homes in Miami. The both of them are young and I realize that at age, sometimes people disregard the obvious until it's too late. Love can cloud the judgment of many, especially when you are young; believe me I know. I really hope this is the last time that we hear about any violence between the couple.
I am sure all of us have heard about the Chris Brown and Rihanna incident by now. I was very shocked when I heard the news. I thought they were so cute together and they seemed to be so in love! TMZ has recently reported that a text message from another girl got the fight going. Apparently, Chris Brown and Rihanna were driving around when he received a text message from another woman that mentioned they were going to "hook up later." I guess we all know how things ended from there. The couple had an altercation, which left Rihanna bruised and in a battered condition.
So where do things go from here? Do you think Chris Brown's career is ruined? I heard that some of his endorsements are pulling out on him and his songs are being pulled from many radio stations around the United States. I mean, he isn't the only celebrity that's had these problems, but the way things look; his career may never be the same. My heart definitely goes out to Rihanna in the situation and I hope that she is in better shape now.
It seems that Kanye West is making plans to release his next single and it involves Rihanna. "Paranoid" is one of my favorite tracks on the album and he reportedly he is teaming up with Rihanna to re-record the track, which is expected to be released in January of 2009. Reportedly, Rihanna will re-record the hook to the song, but this is just a rumor. It hasn't been confirmed by either Kanye or Rihanna at this time.
Earlier this month, Kanye stated that he wasn't going to release any more tracks from 808's and Heartbreak for a while so that his previously released songs "Love Lockdown" and "Heartless" could "soak into culture." I think this is a good idea though, if it happens. If Kanye wants to put Rihanna on the hook, then I say get the show on the road. Make a big time video for the song with Rihanna in it and I think it will definitely help with the albums sales. The last time that I checked. the album was approaching the platinum mark, but currently is in the 700,000 to 800,000 copies range. I must say that I am loving 808's and Heartbreak. If you haven't bought the album, I must reiterate that you should and give it a thorough listen. Every time that I listen to it, I love it more and more. It definitely put the icing on the cake for the year of 2008!! You gotta respect Kanye for doing what inspires him and that makes a great album in my opinion...
Nah, it's Rihanna. Haha!! Apparently, RiRi got a little pissed a few weeks ago when she was mistaken for Prince!!! Dang!! If that one does not bite. LOL!! Some of her fans in the good 'ole UK thought she was Prince! They saw her and yelled "Prince, The Purple One!!!" When she got up close to sign autographs, they realized that it was nothing, but Rihanna looking embarrassed as h*ll!!!! I wonder if she will change her hairstyle after this? Man, I would have been so embarrassed and mad inside after hearing that. LOL! Do you think she looks Prince? Her hairstyle gets close to the "pretty" superstar, but nah....she doesn't look like him. Haha!!
Rihanna is really proving herself to be a fashion icon. Check her out at the Gucci Womenswear Spring/Summer 2009 fashion show in Milan, Italy on Wednesday. She will appear in their new ad soon and they personally invited her to this event. I personally don't like those shoes. She looks like a wrestler or something. What do you think about her outfit? T.I. and RiRi performed "Live Your Life" at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Now, they are ready to shoot the video. They will shoot it during the first week of October. The track was produced by Just Blaze. I really like the song. Remember Paper Trail drops 0n September 30th, which is next week.
Chris Brown is adding songwriter to his music career. He just wrote two songs for Ms. Britney Spears. Chris Breezy stated,
“I actually wrote a couple songs for her now. We’re on the same label, so all the executives heard the records and they love the records, so hopefully she’ll cut it. But if she doesn’t, oh well, we’ll go back in the studio and still do some more records for her.”
If you are not aware, he also wrote Rihanna's hit single, "Disturbia" as well. Kudos to Chris for doing his thang! He will get more money songwriting versus being an artists. It's a great market to tap into. I hope the songs are placed on her upcoming album so I can hear them...
Sweethearts Chris Brown and Rihanna will tour together in Australia this Fall. The tour will kickoff on October 27th in Auckland, New Zealand. Rumors are flying around that the pair will also tour in North America as well sometime next year. I think they are so cute together, even though they still deny that they are not together! LOL!
T.I. has to love his life right now. He has a new clothing line called Akoo. And to make things even better, his new single "Whatever You Like" has jumped from #71 on the Billboard charts to #1! His next single is rumored to be "Live Your Life" Featuring Rihanna, which we already know is going to be a hit. The latest Chris Brown and Rihanna rumor is that the two are going to be moving in together, according to Star Magazine. Supposedly, they have been spotted shopping for a condo in Los Angeles. Even though they keep denying that they are not together, we all know that they are. I mean, it is quite obvious so there is no need for them to keep hiding things. Haha! Anyway, reports say that the couple has been looking for a place since July and are on the prowl for a crib together as soon as possible. They both want an apartment that is soundproof because they like to play their music loud. I hear them on that because I am the same way. I am always playing music and I play it loud when I have the chance to. Well, I hope they find a pad soon. Shopping for a new place is always fun and decorating is always funner!
